Sitting atop The Residences at the St. Regis Atlanta, the creme de la creme of fanciful high-rise luxury in Buckhead, this palatial condominium easily epitomizes the very best in luxe living.

With five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in a whopping 9,825 square feet, the unit comes with 13.6-foot ceilings (so specific), walls of arched windows, a wine cellar, a separate apartment complete with kitchen, and four—yes, four!—elevator entrances.

The condominium is home to Howard Halpern, former owner of The Buckhead Beef Co. and current owner of Halpern and Associates LLC, and his wife, Lynne. The couple purchased the unit in 2009 as the property was under development.

At the time, it represented a complete lifestyle change for the couple, who were moving from a Buckhead house into what they called “the ultimate in assisted living” in a 2006 Atlanta Business Chronicle article.

In that piece, the Halperns stated they were looking forward to the building’s amenities, its location in the Buckhead Village, and the fact they could leave for extended periods of time knowing their home was cared for.

When they purchased the home in 2009, the couple paid $6.6 million. It’s possible that was for merely the shell, to be followed by the buildout.

Then again, that was also the middle of the Great Recession.

With a current asking price of $15.9 million, not only is this the city’s most expensive condo twice over, it’s also the second priciest residence on the entire Atlanta market at the moment, now that Tyler Perry’s old palace is up for grabs again.
