As part of a 235-acre masterplanned residential and mixed-use development in Fayetteville, Pinewood Forest officials announced this week a “luxury” cinema like no other in the area will join the project, breaking ground in mid-2019.
Located next to Pinewood Atlanta Studios, the theater will, in addition to blockbuster films, showcase a variety of other film and video content, live performances, broadcasted sports and entertainment events, corporate events, and more.
“Georgia is a world leader in feature film production, and Pinewood Forest is the perfect place to experience that artistry,” said Rob Parker, president of Pinewood Forest, in a press release.
Inside the building, expect eight auditoriums, each with 800 VIP lounge chair seats, Immersive Digital Audio, and digital 4K projection. Other amenities will include online advance ticketing, will-call, reserved seating, an expanded concession menu, and a restaurant and bar.
According to the release, the theater is expected to bring more than 240,000 visitors to Pinewood Forest each year.

The architect team of BoggsVickers and THW Design collaborated on the theater, while Pinewood Forest is a partnership between real estate firm Pace Lynch Corporation, Spotlight Theatres, and Alerion Services.
Projected to open in 2020, the development also will include a boutique hotel, coworking space, performing arts center, independent retail and restaurants, an integrated wellness center, an innovative “micro-school,” and 1,300 new homes.
