Every so often, the Atlanta rental pool serves up a truly interesting house that’s available for living in but not for sale.

This is one of those times. Or, well, it was.

Built in 1974, this stylish, architect-designed ranch in Buckhead’s bucolic Whitewater Creek neighborhood underwent a remodel 40 years later. Then it came up for rent at $6,000 monthly in December, and records indicate it achieved more than that ($6,500) this month.

Offering four bedrooms among 1,976 square feet, it’s tucked off Interstate 75 on the Atlanta side of the Chattahoochee River, near the nature lover’s paradise that is Palisades, just across the bridge from Cumberland.

Beyond the forested location, perks include towering kitchen cabinetry that looks original, handsome stonework, myriad exposed beams, and layers of backyard lounging options.

It was offered fully furnished.
