Atlanta’s toniest neighborhood is taking ultra-luxury vertical as construction ramps up at Buckhead Triangle.
Columns have started to rise across from Charlie Loudermilk Park, marking progress on high-end condo project The Charles.
First announced in late 2016, the project will bring 57 condos to a site formerly home to a one-story commercial building and a sea of parking.
The site is just north of The Shops Buckhead Atlanta development, which dramatically changed the character of the neighborhood when it opened a few years ago.
Units start at $1.3 million, while penthouses are available for north of $4 million. Finishes and amenities will be topnotch, while commodious floorplans feature large terraces and sweeping skyline views.
Despite the prices (and reportedly sky-high HOA fees to accompany), indications are that presales have been strong.

Elsewhere on Atlanta’s slowly reviving condo front, it turns out The Charles will have competition just down the street.
The Sutton, originally proposed to be rental units, will offer for-sale opportunities for those a tax bracket or two below The Charles.
Along with Emerson, The Charles and The Sutton are paving the way for a new generation of high-end, high-rise living in Buckhead.
