Construction is nearing completion on a new hotel tower in downtown Atlanta, across the street from the Georgia Aquarium.

Crews are wrapping up work on the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, which began construction in fall 2016.

Located at 239 Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard, the building features eight stories of rooms atop a parking deck. Expect 170 rooms.

Work has progressed a long way since last year, and crews are putting finishing touches on the project.

Room rates are not yet available, though according to the hotel website, the property should be operational in May.

The hotel is just the latest lodging addition in the city’s tourist hub.

As this month, another large hotel has filed for its permits and should soon begin to rise down the street.
