This freshly finished Brookhaven dwelling is aiming to go where few—if any—Atlanta neo-farmhouse offerings have roamed before: to the green pastures north of $1 million.

Find it just east of MARTA’s Brookhaven-Oglethorpe University Transit Station and the neighborhood’s commercial village, in the Ashford Park section, on what’s marketed as the area’s signature corner lot.

“There is not a better location to the Dresden [Drive] shops than where this house is located,” writes the listing agent, Realtor Mike Toltzis of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, to Curbed Atlanta.

Listing as we speak for $1,085,000, this five-bedroom build by Southcrest Homes employs vertical siding, rustic beams, and shiplap across 4,000 square feet to achieve what’s described as “stunning urban modern farmhouse” design.

Alluring aspects include the covered patio with a fireplace, the general flexibility of such floorplan openness, and a master bathroom where the tired “spa-like” description seems pretty spot-on.

It’s ripe for a finished basement, and the massive backyard would allow for a pool without much annoying shade and leaves, but such things are not part of the deal.

The property joins more than 30 in Brookhaven listed in the $1 million range at the moment, so while the price might not be uncommon, competition could be fierce.
