By now, midcentury modern zealots of Atlanta probably feel acquainted with this cool customer from 1964.

Perched over Buckhead’s Ridge Valley Road, the four-bedroom, three and a half bathroom property has traded hands four times (once to foreclosure) since the Great Recession petered out in Atlanta.

Most recently, the successful sellers and part-time dwellers were Michael “Mike D” Diamond of the Beastie Boys and his director ex-wife, Tamra Davis, who garnered media attention as home developers and renovators before divorcing.

The couple had scooped up the property in 2013, upgraded it, and offloaded it about three years later for $805,000.

After further enhancements both utilitarian (new roof, exterior paint) and pleasurable (freshly landscaped backyard, new deck and patio, remote-control blinds), the home popped up again for sale in November at $875,000.

Following a fresh price adjustment this week, it’s trickled down to $839,500.

It counts north of 3,000 square feet, a bold and beautiful double-sided fireplace, Viking appliances, windows aplenty for capturing the serene setting, and what the listing declares is the “city’s best school district.”

Also included: a property history that keeps getting more interesting.
