A block from the Beltline’s Westside Trail, clean simplicity reigns supreme

Atlanta buyers without million-dollar budgets in the market for a cozy, character-rich abode could find much to adore here on Westview’s Stokes Avenue.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom traditional from 1930 might not be cavernous with its 1,748 square feet, but it’s rich with curb appeal and a fairly simple, elegant renovation where barn doors and exposed beams seem right at home.

It’s maybe a block from the Beltline’s Westside Trail, and a few more blocks from lovely Westview Cemetery in the other direction. The listing, of course, makes sure to namedrop a recent trifecta of investment activity: “You are steps from the Atlanta Beltline, Lean Draft House, and Monday Night Brewery.”

Surprises come with patterned tile in the new bathrooms, the (smallish) living room’s built-ins, and original hardwoods that look pristine.

Beyond a sufficient deck, the backyard is basically raw as can be, with chain-link fencing and possibly the least inviting fire pit setup this side of Hades.

Records indicate the property moved prior to renovations for $95,000 in early 2017, and it’s been listed in refreshed form since February, though it appears a couple of contracts may have fallen apart.

The latest asking price: $364,800.
