Near the University of Georgia campus—and, for Dawg fans, less than a five-minute drive to Sanford Stadium—this brick Tudor is located on “arguably Athen’s most coveted street,” per marketing materials.

Interesting fact: Erected elsewhere in 1948, the home was moved to the current property and rebuilt in 1997.

Today, the 3,672-square-foot residence includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms spread out on two floors. And it’s one of the priciest listings in town.

The living room features 14-foot ceilings with hardwood floors throughout the main space (carpet reigns in the bedrooms). Extensive moulding and trim work around the ceilings, windows, and doors add a polished, classic look to the interior.

Both the kitchen and master bathroom (which appears large enough to make another bedroom) received updates at some point but could benefit from another round now.

Outside, the front porch is ideal for relaxing and talking with neighbors, while the back patio is more conducive to outdoor entertaining. Tucked away in the backyard, find a nifty shed with full power.

Originally listed in April for $899,000, the home received a $24,000 price cut, bringing the current ask to $875,000.

It’s one of about a half-dozen homes throughout Athens proper aiming for north of $800,000 at the moment.

Now at 74 days on the market, the property makes one wonder if another price cut is on the way. Perhaps the street isn’t quite as coveted as the listing claims. Or maybe the price is still too ambitious.
