Dazzling solarium highlights this 1959 property

With its single-story flow, curving walls, California-like embrace of the outdoors, and a sunburst solarium with a folded-plate, clerestory ceiling, the house counts an even 3,000 square feet amidst three and a half acres described as being “supremely private.”

It’s nestled in Buckhead’s Margaret Mitchell community, which was mostly developed in the 1950s just west of Interstate 75. It last sold in early 2015 for $1,025,000 and has since tried its luck as a rental.

Recent modifications have modernized the designer kitchen and bathrooms. The bedroom count (three) could be a sticking point for buyers in this price bracket, but the saltwater pool and sprawling, soiree-ready courtyard could help sooth such concerns.

With a darker, more dated interior and grounds cluttered with autumn leaves, the home had a decidedly different look when it last graced these pages in 2013.
