Asking $1.4M, Buckhead condo includes gardens, absurdly massive terraces

Urban sophisticates with green thumbs that won’t quit could find much to admire here, a few floors above Peachtree Road (and a parking garage) in Buckhead.

What sets this three-bedroom condo apart at the 2828 Peachtree building is the way it hogs almost half of the amenities level on its own, serving a level of high-rise verdure not spotted in Atlanta since the penthouse terrace at Midtown’s Luxe tower.

The building, opened in 2002, is known for massive, full-floor residences, and in terms of sheer space (3,000 square feet), this customized pad doesn’t disappoint. But such roominess isn’t without consequences (HOA fees: $1,650).

Back outside, there’s plenty of room for meandering among Japanese maples, hedges, and impressively mature trees, plus a burbling fountain, outdoor living room, grilling area, and family-size hot tub.

Other perks include surround sound in the ceilings, a double-sided fireplace, new hardwoods, and—count ’em—three storage units. In case 3,000 square feet isn’t sufficient for storing stuff.

The lines are generally clean, and the overall vibe contemporary, though some aspects, including the kitchen cabinetry and abundant light carpeting, surely looked more cutting-edge in the early aughts than now.

Nobody would call $1.4 million chump change for a condo, even in Buckhead, but it’s far from the building’s priciest offering at the moment.
