By and large, the rains of Hurricane Florence veered away from Piedmont Park this past weekend, as tens of thousands of fans packed Atlanta’s marquee green space for an eclectic music festival full of heat, surprise covers, and teens donning things their parents probably aren’t cool with.

The eighth incarnation of Music Midtown in Piedmont Park avoided rain delays and proved an obvious hit with the millennials-and-younger crowd, featuring a diverse lineup that leaned more toward pop and hip-hop than in recent years.
