Tucked off Peachtree Road, behind Town Brookhaven, this bedazzling new listing could tickle the fancy of Atlanta’s wealthy modern enthusiasts who prefer everything from entry foyers to master closets in epic proportions.

Marketed as “one of the most amazing modern homes built in Atlanta,” it’s an instance in which the overused “masterpiece” description could apply.

That’s not to say 11,500 square feet of interior space isn’t overblown, but it’s artfully executed (with surprisingly candid touches throughout). And the size is somehow appropriate for more than 1.5 acres of open, flat space—an Atlanta rarity.

Counting an indoor basketball court, home gym, and massage room, the 2016 residence is the work of Buckhead-based Derazi Homes, which has a portfolio that leans more traditional but no less grand.

It listed last week for an even $7 million, joining less than a dozen City of Atlanta (and Brookhaven) residences asking $7 million or more right now.

Another highlight is the outdoor kitchen and gorgeously modern pool grounds rimmed with turf and what looks like a gas fire pit at water level. Double-height clerestory windows, recessed speakers at every turn, a waterfall kitchen island for six—nary a room bores in here.

Speaking of rooms, the official bedroom (four) is nearly doubled by the bathrooms (seven), though enough ancillary rooms exist for entire families to camp out. And despite the sheer space, the $608/per-square-foot breakdown is going to appeal to a very specific clientele.

The lot (with rustic teardown) went for about $790,000 in 2012.
