Just west of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, on the opposite side of Interstate 85, a new hotel is poised for a winter debut that officials are calling another win for College Park.

The AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway is under construction at the developing Gateway Center mixed-use community, one element of the evolving area wrapped around the world’s busiest passenger airport.

The hotel is expected to feature 222 guest rooms, with nightly stays starting at $139.

The seven-story development is also slated to host the AC Lounge, a “bustling community gathering space by day and social haven by night, featuring handcrafted cocktails,” per a press release.

The AC Hotel would offer immediate access to the SkyTrain, allowing travelers to skip the Uber or Lyft to the airport.

It’ll also have close proximity to the Georgia International Convention Center.

The hotel’s delivery is projected to come right on the heels of the Gateway Center Arena’s grand opening.

The new stadium, outfitted to seat 3,500 and expandable for up to 5,000 seats for concerts, is expected to host basketball games for the College Park Skyhawks, the Atlanta Hawks G-League affiliate, and the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
