A stone’s throw from the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA Station, a planned townhome and apartment complex is expected to be the largest new residential addition to La France Street since transit-oriented development Spoke materialized.
Developed by The Ardent Companies, LaFrance Square is slated to rise at the corner of La France Street and Arizona Avenue, featuring 102 rentals where a warehouse once stood.
Officials with Ardent, a collective of companies operating as a private asset management and real estate investment group, this week sent Curbed Atlanta exclusive renderings indicating what the once-mysterious development might look like.

Details on project timeline and pricing remain scant—and this story will be updated as new information becomes available—but the renderings suggest Edgewood could see a few five-story townhomes, with condo-style units mixed in, come online in the near future.
The residences would be available in studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floorplans.
From the look of things, tenants will be able to enjoy private rooftop terraces with views of the surrounding neighborhoods and, potentially, the planned Pratt Pullman District to the east.
Amenities, per the LaFrance Square website, would also include off-street and garage parking, a dog park and spa, workout facilities, and a communal picnic and grilling area.
