Although this winter has been relatively mild—and the rain oddly continuous—Atlantans are more than ready to get outside and soak up some sun.
Thankfully, the region’s festival organizers are more than ready, too, putting together a full slate of activities that revolve around food, arts and crafts, music, and, of course, fun.

Daffodil Day
What better way to herald spring than with daffodils, the iconic spring flower?
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at this free event, take guided garden walks throughout Oakland Cemetery, talk with local garden experts, and help the kids put together a selection of crafts.
There also will be a number of plants and used garden books for sale, with proceeds benefitting the historic Oakland Foundation’s gardens team.

Oyster Crawfish Festival
Good food makes for a great festival, so you can’t go wrong with the 16th annual Oyster Crawfish Festival at Park Tavern.
Tickets include entry, entertainment, and four booze and bite tickets. Expect performances by Blair Crimmins & The Hookers, Saved by the Band, Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, and DJ Raetone.

Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival
When looking at the festival trifecta, the combination of beer, bourbon, and barbecue has to rank pretty high for Atlanta festival-goers.
No wonder the Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival is now celebrating its fifth year at Atlantic Station. On March 2 from 12 to 6 p.m., attendees can enjoy their favorite meats and libations along with plenty of live entertainment.

Atlanta Jewish Music Festival
For two weeks at various venues around the city, music lovers can enjoy the sounds of the Atlanta Jewish Musical Festival and learn how Jewish artists have impacted the music world.
Performances will take place at venues such as the Atlanta History Center, Vinyl at Center Stage, The Bremen Museum, and Temple Sinai. The website contains a full schedule and ticket information.

Atlanta Brunch Fest
From 12 to 4 p.m. on March 9, head to Atlantic Station to sample some of your favorite brunch foods from more than 50 Atlanta area restaurants at Atlanta Brunch Fest.
In addition to tasty bites, there also will be a varied beverage selection, from traditional brunch drinks like Bloody Marys, mimosas, and Brunch Punch to beer and wine.

Asian SpringFest
At Lenox Square from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 9, the Asian SpringFest celebrates Asia’s various ethnicities through dance, singing, music, and a fashion show showcasing costumes rarely displayed.
Hosted by the Who’s Who in Asian American Communities Alliance Foundation, this free event also will have educational displays featuring origami and calligraphy.

American Craft Show
Fans of contemporary arts and crafts will love the American Craft Show, now in its 30th year in Atlanta.
Held March 15 to 17 at Cobb Galleria Centre, this juried fine craft show brings together more than 250 artists and craftspeople showcasing a wide selection of handmade items. Think fine jewelry, handmade ceramics, wearable textiles, home décor, furniture, and more.

Ormewood Park Makers Festival
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 23, this street festival at the intersection of Delaware and Woodland avenues in Ormewood Park will bring together more than 150 local artists, live music, lots of good eats, and plenty of libations.
In addition to the artists market, attendees also can check out a number of workshops to get an in-depth experience in “making” something. A lineup of this year’s workshops are available on the website.
While the festival is free to attend, some workshops may require registration and a fee.

Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival
Spring is in the air, and that means cherry blossoms are on the way. Check them out along with a whole host of fun in the sun at the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival.
Held at Blackburn Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, this event includes an artist market, a Kidz Zone, a classic car show, “Pet World,” and a food court, all surrounded by the iconic pink blooms that give this festival its name.

April 6-7
Festival on Ponce
A festival favorite of Atlantans, the Festival on Ponce returns to Olmsted Linear Park with more than 125 arts and crafts, folk, and “outsider art” vendors, a children’s area, and local food and drinks.
This free event will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
