In North Buckhead, new community rising at cusp of nature preserve starts at $1.13M

Call it a pocket neighborhood or simply a housing development, but a cluster of single-family houses rising in North Buckhead is aiming to capitalize on a unique combination of seclusion and walkability, according to developers.

Dubbed “Amble Green,” the 30-home project is replacing an older, two-story multifamily community on a sloped Haverhill Drive site, tucked off Roswell Road just east of Chastain Park.

Prices begin north of $1.1 million.

It’s the latest venture by Monte Hewett Homes, which counts projects in places like Loring Heights, Buckhead’s St. Andrews, and Forsyth County’s Halcyon.

The community’s general style is described as “contemporary transitional,” while neighboring Blue Heron Nature Preserve is “truly a hidden gem in Buckhead.”

Marketing materials stress walkable access from the site to coveted Sarah Smith Elementary School and more than 20 restaurants, though anyone who’s walked or biked busy Roswell Road nearby can attest it’s not the most relaxing experience.

The cheapest option, the Chastain floorplan, counts 3,355 square feet, four bedrooms, and four and a half bathrooms for $1,139,900. Renderings and floorplan:

Meanwhile, the largest option, called the Grove, “offers an extraordinary exterior that invites you—defies you—to explore every corner, every inch of its open and comfortable interior,” per the project website. It’s just shy of 3,800 square feet with the same bedroom/bathroom count for $1,429,900.
