A row of recently built Edgewood townhouses is being marketed as having intown convenience, exceptional affordability, and enough interior space for growing families, but the listings haven’t exactly flown off the market.
The five townhomes in question are part of the gated Brownstone at Edgewood live-work community along Memorial Drive, two blocks east of Moreland Avenue, which the townhome component’s owner, Anees Khan, described as “Edgewood’s best kept secret... no more!” in an email to Curbed Atlanta.
The three-story dwellings are geared toward “a growing family that wants to live in a vibrant part of Atlanta at a very affordable price,” wrote Khan.
High points include decks in the treetops, floors of birchwood, quartz countertops, cabinetry described as “designer,” and two-car garages, per marketing materials.
Four of the homes with a hair over 2,000 square feet are listed at $437,500 through Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia. The fifth is larger (3,000 square feet) and priced at $520,000.
Each has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
“There is almost no other townhome at this price-point in that market,” said Khan.
Current listings in the neighborhood—only this townhouse near the Edgewood Retail District could be considered comparable—qualify that as a true statement.
Still, records indicate the Dahlgren Lane offerings have been listed since October, although they might not have been finished until more recently, as Khan indicates.
All but the largest home underwent a 2.8 percent discount in February.
