Buyers in the market for home remodels that haven't obliterated original charms while striving to maximize square footage could find much to admire here in Westview.

Marketed as an “amazing” and “brilliant” renovation on the neighborhood’s southern side, maybe a half-dozen blocks from Westview Cemetery and Beltline Westside Trail access, the 1945 property retains its perky facade while bringing a fresh face.

It’s a quiet area loaded with homes in a similar, quaint style. This one listed in recent days at $329,900 through Keller Knapp Realty.

For a property of 1,850 square feet, the four bedrooms and three bathrooms could come as a surprise—although that also comes at the expense of any sort of large, interior living area.

Bonus points for the cozy office, flexible finished second story (the attic, really), and a refurbished one-car garage beside the ample backyard.

The “car-dependent” WalkScore of 38 could use some work for an intown address, but it’s around the corner from a tennis center and walkable to Westview Corner Grocery.

The listing joins about six other renovations in surrounding blocks asking $350,000 or less right now, so competing options in the area aren’t exactly scarce.
