A new batch of townhomes coming together in the southern reaches of Decatur is geared more toward buyers seeking a relatively attainable entrée to the city’s coveted school system—or quick Lyft rides from home to the Square—than impressive square footages.

The latest phase of a single-family community by David Weekley Homes called Hargrove, where offerings from the mid-$500,000s began reaching the market last summer, the townhomes are positioned off South Columbia Drive, about two miles from Decatur’s downtown food, drink, shopping, and transit hub.

The townhomes were added to the Hargrove mix at the beginning of 2020, starting in the $450,000s and topping out just shy of $482,000.

Described as energy-efficient with innovative interior layouts, the smaller townhomes clock in at 1,657 square feet across three levels.

The largest units count 2,160 square feet. All have either two or three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two-car garages.

The community’s pitched as being low-maintenance with a courtyard and other onsite green spaces.

“Among its many other attributes,” a project rep wrote to Curbed Atlanta, “the Austin offers a terrace level studio that offers the flexibility to serve as a home office, entertainment lounge, man cave, home gym, or crafts workshop.”
