Assuming the ongoing public health crisis doesn’t throw a wrench in construction plans, a new hotel is expected to break ground in Buckhead next month.
Featuring 218 guest rooms just feet from Lenox Square, the Buckhead MARTA stop, and the PATH400 multi-use trail, the proposed lodge is to be called the Hyatt Centric.
The project is headed by a joint venture between affiliates from Atlanta-based developer Songy Highroads, SharpVue Capital, and Hyatt Hotels.
Songy Highroads closed on the property Friday.

Projected to stand 16 stories on Lenox Parkway, the hotel would feature 4,500 square feet of meeting space, a pool, and workout facilities.
Plus, prospective guests can look forward to a rooftop terrace, bar, and restaurant, as well as a bar and restaurant in the lobby.
If all goes to plan, the Cooper Carry-designed structure would be guest-ready in early 2022, per an announcement today.
Georgia-based construction firm Reeves Young is onboard to build the hotel.
