Construction crews are working around the clock along Spring Street between 3rd and 4th streets to ready the latest private student housing option for Georgia Tech students by the end of the summer.

The Standard, which replaced a row of low-slung commercial buildings, will house more than 750 students in 257 furnished residences.

The 19-story tower features more than 10,000 square feet of commercial space, a hulking 572-car parking deck, and a sprawling amenity deck with pool and bocce ball court.

Floorplans and pricing were revealed last month, with compact one-bedroom options going for more than $1,500 a month. Those who don’t mind one (or several) roommates can snag a room for around $1,200 per month.

Expect students to start moving in before the fall semester.
