In heart of East Atlanta Village, modern-style townhome project is half-sold, per sellers

In the blocks surrounding East Atlanta Village, development both planned and under construction continues to barrel ahead.

A 24-unit townhome project called Ironside East Atlanta is trying to capitalize on that momentum, from the center of it all.

Nearing completion now, the Thrive Homes development has filled a triangular wedge of land with frontage on Flat Shoals and Glenwood avenue. The site was used primarily for surface parking before construction launched in early 2018.

The townhomes are half spoken for, according to listings this week.

According to Thrive Homes’s website, the dozen remaining townhomes without contracts range in price from $499,990 to $569,900, all with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Each has about 1,900 square feet.

One example posted by Ansley Developer Services this week, unit 24, asks $529,900 for 1,904 square feet above a two-car garage. The monthly HOA fee is listed as $175.

Features include generous rooftop spaces walled off from neighbors, hardwood floors throughout, 10-foot ceilings on main levels with balconies, and KitchenAid appliance packages. (Find photos from the model unit below).

The address counts a sterling 90 WalkScore. Bolstering that, as the listing notes, are restaurants, watering holes, a farmers market, yoga, and a lot more around EAV within a quick walk.

Elsewhere in the district, Epic Development has launched construction on a 14-unit townhome project called Village Stacks.

Expect larger townhomes there, priced from the upper $500,000s to the $600,000s.
