Avalon — the posh mixed-use slice of urbanity in Alpharetta — has been sold to international real estate investment investment group PGIM Inc., a wing of Prudential Financial. The development, while only half-complete, likely fetched a hefty sum.
The hotel, designed by Cooper Carry, will be a member of Autograph Collection Hotels and is intended to "create a resort-inspired destination at Avalon," officials said. Expect 330 rooms. And crazy-fast Internet speeds for free.
Set to debut next spring, Phase II will include a conference center, 330-key hotel, office space, 276 multifamily units, and a load of new retailers. It's already 80 percent leased, officials said.
